I know I haven’t posted in a while, but it isn’t because I haven’t been taking pictures! I have been having internet problems for about a week and can’t stay logged on long enough to accomplish anything. Tonight, for the firs time in a long time, the lights on the modem looked like they were supposed to…for a longer time…but the network connection kept dropping. I decided to test it out and see if maybe the router is the problem. I decided to plug in the modem directly to the computer and see how long I keep active service. So far, it has at least been long enough for me to type this post. If this keeps up, looks like I’ll be router hunting soon.
Computer Problems
January 25th, 2010Day 21
January 21st, 2010Paisley has been staying out of her crate while I’m at work for about a month. She’s been doing really good, until today. She unraveled this ball of jute string and chewed the corners off of a phone book and a puzzle book. I guess it could have been worse! So, she’ll continue having Paisley’s day out while I go to work…at least until she destroys something a little more valuable.
Caught up!
Day 20
January 21st, 2010OMG! My utility bill almost DOUBLED!! It always goes up in the winter because I have gas heat…and that can be expensive. This month, the gas alone was $94. That is more than last months bill…and the month before that! I don’t keep it extremely hot in here, usually 65-68 degrees. We did have some really cold days though, so the heat was on more often. The heat is now set at 60 and I will double (maybe triple) up on blankets and clothes.
Day 19

January 17th, 2010Day 17
January 17th, 2010Today’s picture is of Maggie, but it was actually taken last Fall. Maida (Maggie’s mom) called a little while ago to let me know that Maggie passed away this evening. It was a very sudden, quick thing and they aren’t sure exactly what happened. As age goes, Maggie was on the upper end for a Great Dane, but this was very unexpected.
Day 16
January 17th, 2010Day 15
January 17th, 2010I finally broke down and bought some new pants. I only had a few pair of long pants that were winter appropriate…and they were all too big. I’ve been wearing them anyway because I didn’t want to spend money on pants that may not fit (hopefully) very long. Well, I had to give in because it was becoming uncomfortable and I was looking sloppy. The exciting part is that the new pants are 3 and 4 sizes SMALLER than the ones I had been wearing!
